FRENCH Antique Tapestry professionally
framed and it is solid sturdy condition.
Depicting an old country family scene having a meal
outdoors by a stream, it includes sheep & probably the
families sheep dog, just wonderful. It is easy to get lost
in this gorgeous scenic situation surrounded by trees.
A more desirable piece due to it having the unique
figures as shown in addition to the animals all amongst
them, just like they are all part of the family.
The colors are full & rich , not faded as far as I can see
(please look at the many photos) as well as having soft pastels. Just lovely!
The antique Tapestry is in gorgeous condition for its age.
No pulls or tattering. I cannot find anything wrong with it.
It is made from wool and is very thickly woven giving it a
multi dimensional look when viewed from both the sides and front.
The touch of the wool is soft.
Photos have mostly been taken with natural light but there
are a few photos taken indoors where it was hung on a wall.
This should give you an addtional idea of the actual colors.
Dates to the late 1800's.
This would add such a wonderful decor in any home and
much better in person than in the pictures.
